

In addition to the A-League CBA and the A-League Player Contract Regulations, Australian players are subject to an important range of rights and responsibilities imposed by FFA through the game’s regulatory framework.
FFA NATIONAL REGISTRATION REGULATIONS
These regulations govern the eligibility, registration, contracting and the loan and transfer of players who participate in organised football in Australia.
The key aspects of these regulations are:
Players must earn in excess of $100/week in order to be considered professional. According to FFA research, 1,109 professional players were registered at State League level in 2008, with the PFA providing increasing assistance to players at this level:
