

Each year, the AGM provides the opportunity for the players to come together to consider some of the key opportunities and challenges facing them and the game.
In addition to receiving details reports on the PFA’s progress and growth in 2009/2010 and its plans for the future, the meeting will also recognise five outstanding servants of the PFA in recent years: PFA Life Member Craig Foster will be recognised as a PFA Champion whilst PFA President Simon Colosimo and current and former Executive members Ross Aloisi, Ante Milicic and David Zdrilic will be offered PFA Life Membership.
In other business, an election will be held for 5 members of the PFA Executive and special resolutions will be moved to officially change the name of the PFA to “Professional Footballers Australia” and to make some minor alterations to the Rules of the PFA.
The time of the meeting is 12.00pm for lunch, with the meeting to formally commence at 1.00pm. The meeting will be held at PricewaterhouseCoopers, 201 Sussex Street, Sydney. In the evening, the 2009 PFA Alex Tobin OAM Medal will be held.

The PFA is delighted to announce, with the support of LUCRF. the nominees for the PFA Footballer of the Year, the PFA Harry Kewell Medal and the inaugural PFA Women's Footballer of the Year.
The winners will be announced at the Australian Football Awards on Thursday 7 October in Sydney.
