

The FFA and the PFA together deliver a comprehensive program to assist and safeguard players’ professional interests and development both within and away from football.
The “My Football Career” program is available to all members of Australia’s national teams (including the Socceroos and Matildas), players in the A-League, National Youth League players and Australia’s elite amateurs.

Significant progress has been made within the “My Football Career” program over the last 12 months. Engagement in the program by Australian footballers continues to grow especially for those that have recently retired or fallen on more challenging times in their football careers.
Workshops and programs have been developed and run in five key areas of interest that have previously been identified by players as relevant to them. These are:

The 2009/2010 Season will see the PFA deliver workshops to players on Player Management/Agents, Superannuation (delivered by the PFA’s preferred partner LUCRF Super) and Taxation. Other new initiatives in Season 2009/2010 for the program include a workshop with Relationships Australia covering strategies to assist ‘athletes at risk’ and a new relationship with Open Universities Australia.
