Professional Footballers Australia (PFA) can confirm that it met with Football Federation Australia (FFA) regarding governance reforms today.

PFA Chief Executive John Didulica said the meeting presented an opportunity to outline the players’ position and to be briefed by FFA on the progress of its governance reforms.

“The governance of the sport is of critical importance and it was a welcome opportunity to discuss the reforms with FFA and the role of the players in those reforms,” said Didulica.

“The consultation process with FFA, Clubs and Member Federations is ongoing. We will continue to brief our Executive and members with the view of giving them ownership of any decision that is made.”
