Professional Footballers Australia (PFA) has today announced that National Manager, Player Development Ben Robertson will leave the organisation after almost three years of service at the players’ association.
Set to take on the role of High Performance, National Wellbeing Manager with Tennis Australia, Robertson departs the PFA after having played an integral role in the establishment of the PFA’s Player Development Program.
PFA Chief Executive John Didulica thanked Robertson for the contribution he has made to the game and the players.
“Ben has worked tirelessly to support our members on and off the pitch and leaves behind significantly enhanced player support programs,” said Didulica.
“On behalf of the PFA Executive and our members I wish him and his family all the best for the future.”
Having overseen the transition of the player development program from the governing body to the PFA, Robertson said he had thoroughly enjoyed his time at the PFA.
“Working for Australia’s elite footballers has been a privilege and I’m thankful for the support I received from the PFA staff and our members throughout,” said Robertson.
“I will continue to follow Australian football and look forward to watching the sport reach its undisputed potential.”
